Built by a Shopper, for Shoppers

Batch Keeper was created from real experience—not from a boardroom.

I’m José Villalobos, an independent grocery delivery shopper based in Chicago. After years of evaluating batches, tracking mileage, managing customer experiences, and trying to understand what I was actually earning after expenses, I realized something important: shoppers needed better tools.

Delivery apps show us offers, miles, items, and estimated earnings—but they do not always give us the complete picture. A batch that looks profitable at first can feel very different after considering driving time, fuel costs, difficult deliveries, and previous customer experiences.

That is why I created Batch Keeper.

Smarter Tools for Grocery Delivery Shoppers

Batch Keeper is an independent mobile app designed to help grocery delivery shoppers organize their work and make more informed decisions.

The app brings practical tools together in one place, including:

  • A batch profitability calculator

  • Mileage and work-session tracking

  • Estimated fuel costs and real earnings

  • Private customer and delivery notes

  • Customer arrival alerts

  • Safety flags and delivery-history reminders

  • Nearby shopper activity insights

Each feature was designed around situations shoppers experience every day—not around theories about how delivery work is supposed to happen.

Remember Every Delivery

When you complete dozens or even hundreds of deliveries, it becomes difficult to remember every customer, apartment entrance, parking problem, difficult staircase, safety concern, or tipping experience.

Batch Keeper helps you privately organize this information so it can be useful the next time you receive a delivery for the same customer.

The goal is simple: help you arrive better prepared.

Understand What You Actually Earn

The amount shown on a delivery offer is not always your real profit.

Time, mileage, fuel consumption, and operating costs all affect what remains after the delivery is complete. Batch Keeper provides estimates that can help you evaluate batches and understand your earnings more realistically.

These calculations are informational tools—not financial, tax, or legal advice—but they can give shoppers a clearer picture of their work.

Designed to Respect Your Privacy

Batch Keeper was built with privacy in mind.

Customer records are private to the user who creates them. The app does not sell personal information, display advertising, or share a shopper’s customer history with history with other users.

Location is used only for features that need it, such as mileage tracking, customer arrival alerts, weather information, and optional nearby shopper activity. Users remain in control of these features and their device permissions.

You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.

Independent and Shopper-Focused

Batch Keeper is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Instacart or any other grocery delivery platform.

The app does not access, modify, or interfere with another delivery app. It is simply a separate set of tools created to help independent shoppers organize information and make their own decisions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make the everyday work of grocery delivery shoppers a little more organized, informed, and manageable.

Batch Keeper will continue evolving through real-world use, honest feedback, and the experiences of the shopper community.

Because the best tools for shoppers should be created by people who understand what the job is really like.

Batch Keeper — Protect every batch.
